Caretaker Sindh Minister for Information Technology (IT) Jameel Yusuf directed the Information Department to clear accumulated construction material and debris from the renovated site of the department. The Caretaker IT Minister visited the newly renovated building of the Sindh Information Technology Department on Thursday. During his visit, Jameel Yusuf expressed his displeasure over debris surrounding the building and directed Information Technology secretary Agha Zaheeruddin, IT Department’s Director General Muhammad Yousuf and other officials to clear corridor and other areas of department and remove the debris. He also directed all officials to attend office regularly and observe punctuality. Later he attended departmental briefing, where he was briefed by Agha Zaheeruddin about various development projects and schemes completed during the year. Jameel Yusuf said that all provincial and district government IT projects should be made result oriented to ensure IT assistance and feedback. The IT minister also directed Sindh IT Board to take steps for betterment of the department. During the briefing, IT Secretary Agha Zaheeruddin informed Jameel Yusuf that steps were being taken to tap into the true potential of e-governance in Sindh by enhancing internal efficiencies and improving public service delivery. IT Secretary briefed the caretaker minister about 5 ongoing schemes, 4 new schemes and 3 additional initiatives that had already been launched under public private partnership during the current financial year. These projects include Safe City Karachi, Domicile/PRC Automation Project, Arfa Karim IT Scheme worth Rs47.50 million (mn), Rs50.5 mn and Rs55 million respectively.
