The caretaker government as part of major reshuffling in the federal bureaucracy has approved transfers and postings of a number of top officials. According to notification issued by the Establishment Division on Tuesday, Rizwan Memon has been transferred and posted as power secretary. Former Islamabad inspector general (IG) Sultan Azam Taimuri has been posted as member of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA). Former Balochistan chief secretary Aurangzeb Haque has been transferred and posted as Establishment Division secretary. Tariq Pasha would serve as statistics secretary, the notification said. He was previously serving as Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman. Establishment Division Secretary Maroof Afzal was made industries and production secretary, Yousaf Naseem Khokar interior secretary, and Sanaullah Abbasi Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) inspector general. Likewise, Sabir Ahmed has been directed to report to Establishment Division. The interim government has appointed Rukhsana Yasmin FBR chairperson. Muhammad Ayub Sheikh is transferred and posted as secretary of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Division, Captain (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan will serve as Narcotics Division secretary, Squardon Leader (r) Iqbal Mehmood has been directed to report to Establishment Division, according to the notification. Similarly, Muhammad Aamir Zulfikar Khan has been posted as National Highway and Motorway Police director general (DG), Captain (r) Zahid Saeed as National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division secretary.
