When summers hit rock bottom, you should very well know how to update your wardrobe. In my view, fashion is about affordability and experimentation. We often limit ourselves to expensive, high-end labels that are unaffordable and are not necessarily stylish. It takes patience and a right frame of mind to pull off a fashion forward look. There are countless options for men to choose from, if we delve deeper; H&M, Forever 21, ZARA, NEXT and Urban Outfitters are a few cost effective options that will help you get through each season. Who says you cannot look trendy in casual clothing? It is all about doing it right, according to your style and taste. For the summer season, we can expect consistent heatwaves. However, I will be sharing a few easy fashion tips for men to beat the heat with style. Creativity It is all about imagination. First off, a baggy jean and a loose shirt are shabby options, if you ask me, unless the fabric is created for a unique style. If you are trying to battle out the scorching heat, your best bet would be wearing a dark blue jean, a single-colored t-shirt, white, black or gray, paired with shaded sunglasses and semi-formal boots (without laces). This look is effortless and simple. Remember, comfortable clothing can also be styled. It is all about mixing things up and weighing out options you have. It is crucial for you to not layer up or ruin your ensemble with redundant accessories; avoid hats or caps in the summer as they trap heat. The alternate option for it is sunscreen. Managing hair Fashion is not only restricted to clothing. It is also about appearance. For many men, managing long hair can be a hassle especially during the summer. I would say, keep the hairstyle short or medium this season. The look should be uniform overall. Sunscreen is trendy Let’s not sideline sunscreen! It has countless benefits, the most important one being protecting your skin. On average, the sun more likely affects our skin tone than any other. Thus, it is important for us to protect our entire body, and not just our face. To be clear, I am not suggesting sunscreen for a fair complexion. We all have different skin tones that vary across cultures. What sunscreen does is help keep our skin color consistent without letting it wear out. If you are already tan or have a normal complexion, it will help maintain consistency of your skin type. However, occasionally, a good amount of tan does not harm at all. These three summer fashion tips will keep you on your toes for the next three months. You will feel good about yourself throughout the day. For every season, there are tricks of the trade that we should know about, if we pay enough attention to them. That said, the most important thing you can wear is confidence. Without confidence, everything is ineffective. So, keep pushing yourself, put these three factors into practice, and set a trend on your own. Lead by example, always! The writer is a model and actor.
