Caretaker Information Minister Mr. Jameel Yusuf said that the issues of children of prisoners will be resolved on a priority basis. This he said, on Monday, during the Silver Jubilee celebrations of a nongovernmental organization (NGO) Justice Help Line held at the Central Prison, Karachi. The Caretaker Information Minister Jameel Yusuf distributed Eid gifts and sweets to prisoner’s children on the occasion. He also asked the concerned authorities to provide technical skills and basic education to the prisoners’ children to ensure that they become productive members of the society. Care taker Information Minister Jameel Yusuf directed the Prison Administration to devise a proper mechanism, in collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organization, to impart technical skill education to prisoner’s children along with basic education to make them useful citizen of society. According to Jameel Yusuf, Home department was also going to take steps and make a strategy in this regard. The Care taker Information Minister Jameel Yusuf said that there was need of tree plantation of trees in the Prison to create good environment. He added that trees would shield people from the effect of weather change. Information Minister Jameel Yousuf also stressed upon extra physical & healthy activities in the Prison. Later the Minister, participated in a cake cutting ceremony with the prison children. President Justice Helpline Nadeem Shaikh Advoctae highlighted the major activities lined up by the NGO for needy and poor people of the society.
