Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Mian Shehbaz Sharif offered Eidul Fitr prayers at the Model Town’s Ittefaq Masjid on Saturday. Shehbaz Sharif’s son and PML-N leader Mian Hamza Shehbaz and a good number of PML-N MNAs and MPAs also offered Eid prayers along with the party’s president. Following Eidul Fitr prayers, special prayers were offered for the national security and speedy recovery of ailing Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of former premier Nawaz Sharif. Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari returned to Pakistan on Monday after celebrating Eidul Fitr with his sisters Bakhtawar and Aseefa in London. During his stay, Bilawal continued his political activities and met PPP office-bearers of overseas wing. A bouquet was also sent by the PPP chief to former first lady of Pakistan Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who is fighting for life after suffering from a heart attack four days ago at Harley Street Clinic in London on second day of Eid. According to the press note issued by the media person of the PPP here on Monday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari prayed for early recovery of Kulsoom Nawaz. It was also clarified that the PPP scion did not visit Begum Kulsoom Nawaz in the hospital. In a separate statement, Bilawal expressed condolences over the death anniversary of PPP’s former parliamentarian Dr Fozia Wahab and leader Munawar Soharwardi. Bilawal Bhutto further stated that political struggle of Fauzia Wahab and Munawar Soharwardi was unforgettable as they were frontline soldiers of the PPP. Published in Daily Times, June 19th 2018.
