KHAIRPUR: The Sukkur district council (DC) chairman Muhammad Aslam Sheikh, along with two union council chairmen, resigned on Monday after Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) did not issue party ticket to his brother for contesting election in the upcoming general election 2018. While addressing a big gathering in Sukkur, Sheikh including Patni union council chairmen Muhammad Ramzan, Badaruddin Sheikh and Naik Muhammad Chajan announced their resignation. He claimed that his family had been ignored for many years, and if former Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah had more sons then he would have issued tickets to all of them. “Khurshid Ahmed Shah was elected through our support and allegiance to the party,” he said. Reportedly, PPP has been undergoing immense hardship due to rising conflicts over distribution of party tickets to contest election in the upcoming general election 2018.
