LARKANA: Police on Monday besieged the area of Mare Chowk in the jurisdiction of Taluka police station, which resulted in a cross fire with thugs. According to details, after seeing a police team, criminals opened fire in the area, which was retaliated by the police. During crossfire, a criminal, Babar Shaikh, was arrested in injured condition, while his other accomplices managed to flee under the cover of firing. Police also recovered one shot gun from his possession. The accused was admitted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital where his condition was stated to be stable. The arrested accused was wanted to police in more than 10 heinous crimes cases including kidnapping, highway dacoity, robbery, murder and police encounter, Larkana police claimed.
