KARACHI: The CTD Karachi has busted a major sleeper cell of Lashkar e Jangvi which had been operative in the area and in the encounter commander of Lej Naeem Bukhari’s group has been killed and four others have been arrested, 2000 kg explosives with huge cache of hand grenades and rocket launchers were also recovered. Dildar Chacha the killed commander was involved in the attacks on ‘mehran base’, ‘navel buses’ and ‘Ashoora blast’. The the sleeper cell was being run as a command and control center which managed to control all the networks of banned LEJ in the city. According to the details the team of CTD civil lines in the supervision of Raja umar khitab on a tip of the presence of terrorists raided a house situated in mehran town in the area of Korangi in the early hours of Monday. ‘When the police team raided the house to arrest the terrorists they started firing on the police team to flee but in reply One terrorist was killed and four other were rounded up’ according to Details given by officials of CTD after the encounter. After the encounter IG sindh AD Khuwaja reached on the spot and while talking to the media he praised the CTD team and announced one lac rupees as reward, he said that this is a huge successes because our country is facing terrorism and the sleeper cells of the banned out fits have started to reactivate in order to disturb the peace of the city. SSP CTD Umar shahid and incharge CTD Raja Umar Khitab while talking to the media in a press conference at the CTD office Civil lines said that the killed terrorist was identified as Dildar alias chacha who was the master mind of LEJ Naeem Bukhari group in Karachi and the’ ameer’ of the sleeper cell, this group was behind dozens of terror attacks in Karachi including the one on ‘mehran base’, ‘navel buses’ and the ‘Ashoora blast’. Literature recovered from the hide out reveals that the group was not only planning for terror attacks but was also collecting funds from the area and training the new recruits by effecting their minds with ‘Jihadi literature’ and monthly meetings. ‘We are investigating other the four arrested workers of the banned outfit in order to arrest their accomplices active in the city because this was the most active and dangerous group of the organization in the city and the master mind Dildar alias Chcha was also the father in law of ishaq boby the target killer of LEJ who was been arrested earlier with Asim capri by CTD Civil lines, Dildar was an expert in making bombs that’s why he went under ground after the arrest of Naeem Bukhari’ Raja Umar Khatab told Daily Times.
