GUJRANWALA: An anti-corruption team on Tuesday arrested three members of a suspected land mafia gang from Kamoki in the district of Gujranwala. Reportedly, a citizen Abdul Jabbar filed an application that accused former tehsildar of Kamoki Ghulam Ghaus and former excise inspector Rana Suleman and Rana Gulzar Ahmed sold him a commercial shop for Rs 44 lacs after forging and fabricating property documents. He reconstructed the shop costing him more than a million rupees. Meanwhile, he came to know that the documents were forged. An anti-corruption team arrested the accused after investigation suggested enough evidence. Three people die in road accidents Three people died on Tuesday in separate road accidents in Gujranwala. Reportedly, 20-year-old Sultan was travelling on a motorcycle when he rammed into a donkey-cart and received injuries. He was rushed to DHQ Hospital where he died. Meanwhile, 25-year-old Uzma was crushed to death by a speeding truck while crossing the road near Rahwali. Furthermore, 28-year-old Suleman was hit by a car near DC colony. He was rushed to DHQ Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Two children, labourer injured in mishaps Three people were injured on Tuesday in separate mishaps. Reportedly, 3-year-old Amara was playing in her house when she suddenly fell in hot water. Meanwhile, a labourer, Hassan was working in a factory at Maraliwala when hot oil fell on him. Furthermore, 4-year-old Samar received critical injuries when he fell from a rooftop while playing at his home in Miansansi. They were shifted to DHQ Hospital where doctors recommended shifting Amara and Hassan to Lahore due to their critical condition. Patients suffer as DHQ Hospital lack resources Despite government claims of improvement in healthcare units, patients suffer through immense difficulties in the DHQ Hospital in Gujranwala. Hospital staff refused to admit an 80-year-old citizen Muhammad Yousaf, who had stomach pain as there was no vacant space left in the hospital. Later, he was laid at the floor of the hospital. The citizens demanded authorities to take a notice of their issues and provide more beds to the hospital. PMLN celebrates Yom-e-Takbeer Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) political workers on Tuesday celebrated Yom-e-Takbeer in the district of Gujranwala. A large number of party workers gathered at PML (N) office where MPA and general secretary of the city Taufeeq Ahmed Butt addressed the gathering.
