ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Monday said that the party is in favour of FATA-KP merger and that the region must not be used for political gains. “PPP unconditionally supports the FATA-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) merger, and the region must not be used to fulfill political agendas,” Zardari said during his meeting with Opposition Leader in the National Assembly and fellow-PPP leader Khursheed Shah. Zardari continue that to provide the people of FATA with their due rights is PPP’s ideology and that the party will go one step ahead of whatever the current government has planned for FATA’s development. PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will chair a meeting of the FATA Reforms Implementation Committee at 4pm today. The meeting will be attended by Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, Sartaj Aziz, Khursheed Shah, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Farooq Sattar and Aftab Sherpao.
