The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, welcomed their third baby, a boy, on Monday, confirmed officials at the Kensington Palace. The royal baby boy weighs eight pounds, seven ounces. He is fifth in line to the throne and the sixth great-grandchild of 92-year-old Queen Elizabeth II. Both William and Prince Harry were also born there. Kensington Palace announced the birth via Twitter, writing, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.” In a following tweet, the palace noted that all the members of the immediate family had been notified of the newest member. “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the message read. The new royal baby’s name has not yet been announced yet. However, names Albert, Fred, and Arthur are on the list.
