LAHORE: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Saturday ordered to resolve pending Model Town cases in provincial courts within two weeks. During a Model Town tragedy case hearing at Supreme Court (SC)’s Lahore registry, a two-judge bench headed by Justice Nisar ordered an early resolution of all pending Model Town cases. The Punjab prosecutor general also presented record and proceedings of the Model Town cases before the SC. In his remarks, the CJP said that no step that goes against law would be taken. He also ordered early resolution of the cases, while also directing Justice Aijazul Awan to conduct hearing of the case on daily basis. The CJP continued that no leniency would be shown towards those who do not respect the judges.
