ISLAMABAD: A three-member Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah will hear dozens of cases at Supreme Court’s Quetta Registry from Monday (today) to Wednesday. Another three-member Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Mushir Alam will also hear dozens of cases at Supreme Court’s Quetta Registry from Monday (today) to Friday. On Thursday, the chief justice will head a three-member Supreme Court bench comprising Justice Umer Ata Bandial and Justice Ijazul Ahsan in Islamabad that will take up a suo motu case pertaining to irregularities in the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The court will also hear two pending petitions filed in 2012 by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Chairperson Marvi Memon against corruption, mismanagement and inefficiencies in the PIA. Attorney general for Pakistan and top management of the national carrier will appear before the court on notice. Earlier on April 6, the chief justice had ordered all the managing directors (MDs) of the national carrier who served during the past 10 years to appear before the court on April 12.
