NAWABSHAH: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday said that the party would form government in general elections 2018 and that he will be ‘in the driving seat’. “We will contest the elections this time around with full preparations and PPP will be elected to power in 2018. I will be in the driving seat and will teach everyone how the country is lead,” Zardari said while speaking to a rally in Nawabshah. Zardari added that in 2013 ‘RO Elections’, PPP was kept out of the elections due to a ‘conspiracy’ that aimed to promote a false idea that the party was not popular in Punjab. Taking jabs at former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Zardari said that Nawaz has ‘destroyed’ the country. “The institutions are indebted and so is the public,” he added. The former president also claimed that the PPP government will take Pakistan to greater heights and will ensure a more profitable and prosperous nation. He also lauded party co-chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari saying that he has 100 percent emerged as a true political leaders. He also confirmed that daughter Asifa Bhutto will contest elections from Nawabshah.
