PARIS: Noël Le Graët, 75, won a new term Saturday as French Football Federation president and said his convincing majority gave him a strong mandate to lead the organisation for another four years. “The outcome is very clear, we can work in a serene fashion,” he said after he was carried to victory by 57.4% of the 216 federation votes at a general assembly. He denied there were rifts in the federation which he has led since 2011 despite charges from his rival for the job, Jacques Rousselot, that Le Graet had gone back on his promise to step down. Rousselot, the president of Ligue 1 club Nancy, came second with 41.9% of the vote.
