HYDERABAD: Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party Chairman Dr Qadir Magsi termed Nawaz Sharif as a person who has nothing to do with the nation and democracy but someone who is fighting for his own survival. He claimed that Zardari has diverted politics to business. Dr Magsi shared his views on the eve of 32nd death anniversary of Shaheed Kamal Rahimoon in front of local press club located in the district of Umerkot. He paid rich tribute to Kamal Rahimoon who sacrificed his life to save him, when he was attacked in 1986. Belonging to the district of Umerkot of Thar Desert, young man dreamed of free, prosperous and peaceful Sindh which has not come true but his struggled continued till today. “My party will never forget our hero, today is his death anniversary and he is remembered by entire Sindh,” Dr Magsi said. He is memorized just like Shaheed Rooplo Kolhi and Miskeen Jahan Khan Khoso. He abhorred that Sindh is divided in the name of clans, tribes and communities. As a consequence, the people are being played at the hands of corrupt politicians, and Sindh, despite of being rich in natural resources has been in the form of worst poverty. “The children from Umerkot and Tharparkar, are sent to the cities for labor to run their kitchen,” he added. The unemployed youth face stress and depression which has led them to social evils but the government has no proper policy. He pointed out that those who had no donkey cart ten years back are now millionaires. All political parties have come in power in lust of looting national exchequer. Capitalism has enslaved all the institutions for its vested interests using judiciary, journalism, politics and religion. The region was enriched and prosperous in agriculture, popular for orchards but shortage of water supply, poor planning, expensive and substandard pesticides, seeds and fertilizers have affected this sector. He lashed for poor health, sanitation and drinking water issues. “Just look at the difference of quality of medicines supplied at hospitals and medical stores, it’s an astonishing fact,” he said. He called upon people to join hands for new Sindh which would be prosperous, rich and free. He termed coal of Thar as its black gold that would not be used for Sindh and its people. “We have never raised voice to divide Pakistan but we are against those who aim to divide Sindh, loot its resources and enslave us,” he added. “Silence is observed at the sit-ins of Pashtoons but Sindhi are assaulted,” Dr Magsi was irked as terming the difference as double standards.
