DUBAI: Lahore Qalandars restricted Multan Sultans to a humble total of 114 after Shaheen Afridi took five wickets for four runs in PSL 3 on Friday. Multan Sultans won the toss and elected to bat first against the Qalandars. The new entrants made a decent start to their innings, with 60-1 in 8 overs at one point, but failed to capitalise. Qalandars’ young pacer Shaheen Afridi produced performance of the PSL 3 after he took 5 wickets while giving away just 4 runs in 3.4 overs. Afridi took three wickets in the 16th over of the game, knocking Sultans down from 97-3 to 99-6. Shoaib Malik was the first one to fall victim to the 17-year-old, while Ross Whiteley and Saif Badar followed. The 17-year-old took back to back wickets in the final over of the game, sending Junaid Khan and Muhammad Irfan back to the pavilion one after another. Lahore Qalandars need 115 runs to secure their maiden victory in PSL 3.
