DADU: American research scholar Emily Hauze said that while trying to share the universal message of Shah Abdul Bhitai, she was not only focusing on translating the poetry of Shah Jo Risalo’s book but was writing in detail of all sections covered by Shah Jo Risalo. She said one can find mysticism in the poetry of Shah Abdul Bhitai. While addressing a seminar on Sufism at Sindh University, Dadu on Tuesday, Emily Hauze said that she was trying to explain mysticism and was working on Bhitai’s works. She said that love, peace and harmony were his sole message. Defining the term mysticism, Hauze said that she discovered truth and love in his poetry. “I became emotional and discovered spiritual feelings while visiting his shrine,” she informed. She said that after reading his poetry, she felt a spiritual connection. “I am conducting a research on the poetry of Bhitai and translated it from Sindhi to English,” she said. She also mentioned that respect and love by the Sindhi people had inspired her to conduct research on Sufism and Risalo. She appreciated that intellectuals and Sindhi writers were cooperating with her in translating Risalo. Published in Daily Times, March 7th 2018.
