Peshawar Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy on Saturday said that his team would lift the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) trophy this year too. In an interview, the skipper looked back on his memories of last year’s PSL final played at the Qaddafi Stadium Lahore. Expressing gratitude to the Pakistani crowd, he said brilliant scenes could be seen at Qaddafi stadium last year. “Everyone was chanting the slogans of Peshawar Zalmi,” said the skipper. “We lifted the trophy in Lahore last year, we will lift it again in Karachi,” Sammy continued. Promising a bigger celebration this time around, the all-rounder said: “Pakistanis love me, and I love them back.” Moreover, Sammy vowed for the revival of international cricket in Pakistan saying cricket must return to the cricket loving country. The opening match of PSL’s third edition will be played between defending champions Peshawar Zalmi and play debutants Multan Sultans on February 22 in Dubai.
