PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has ordered the police report of the Army Public School attack 2014 to be made public. On Dec 16, 2014, a terrorist attack on the Army Public School Peshawar claimed the lives of at least 130 young students. Today, police submitted entire record of the investigation of the APS tragedy to the court in a hearing of the case conducted by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Afsar Shah. The directive for the release of the inquiry report was issued in writ petitions filed by parents of APS martyrs. The petitions sought orders for the federal and provincial governments to make all the information regarding APS attack public. It is the fundamental right of the students and their parents to know about the progress in the case, the petitioners said. A judicial inquiry into the incident to fix responsibility for the negligence was also sought in the petitions. The court, however, remarked it could not form a judicial commission as it was a prerogative of the provincial government.
