ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday made routine transfers and changes in the Pakistan Army. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Major General Azhar Saleh Abassi has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant general and posted as the Mangla corps commander (One Corps) with immediate effect. Meanwhile, Mangla Corps Commander Lt Gen Omar Mahmood Hayat has been posted as the NDMA chairman. Moreover, Lt Gen Umar Farooq Durrani has been posted as the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) chairman.
