Hindi Medium, a story that revolves around a couple’s struggle to secure admission for their child at a top-notch school, also saw multiple nominations including Best Film, Best Director-Saket Chaudhry, Best Actor (Male)-Irrfan Khan, Best Actor (Female)-Saba Qamar, and Best Actor in a Supporting Role – Deepak Dobriyal. In other awards of the evening, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari won Best Director for Bareilly Ki Barfi, while Rajkummar Rao was awarded Best Supporting Actor (Male) for the same project. Meher Vij bagged Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) for her performance in Secret Superstar, while Best Music Director was awarded to Pritam for Jagga Jasoos.
