ISLAMABAD: Former information minister Pervaiz Rasheed began a war of words with former interior minister and fellow Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar on Monday and accused the latter of supporting elements that wanted him ousted in Dawn Leaks case. Talking to a private television channel, GEO News, Rasheed urged PML-N to decide Nisar’s fate as soon as possible, adding that his vote is in favour of the former interior minister’s ousting from the party. “Nisar uttered misleading statements about the party during testing times. The party should make a decision unanimously regarding Nisar. My vote is in favour of his ousting from the party,” said Rasheed. Nisar, however, has refused to respond to any of Rasheed’s statements saying that he is not obliged to respond to any of former minister’s ‘ridiculous’ claims. The former interior minister also demanded former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to make the Dawn Leaks report public. Pervez Rasheed was sacked on October 29, 2016 from his office after an inside story of National Security Committee (NSC) meeting was published by Dawn newspaper.
