QUETTA: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will visit Quetta today to talk with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) MPAs who have abandoned Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri. In a no-confidence motion against Zerhri, almost 40 legislators are expected to vote as stated by Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) representative and provincial lawmaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo. Bizenjo said that PML-N leader Changez Marri has also rendered his support for the no-confidence motion. Zehri has reportedly said that he will fight against the no-confidence motion and will prove his support in the house. Spokesperson for Chief Minister Balochistan said that those who were claiming to have support of 40 MPAs could not bring even more than 20 legislators at their recently held dinner meeting. No-confidence motion is likely to be presented on Tuesday (tomorrow). Zehri has contacted PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif on Sunday and conveyed him that the issue of the no-confidence motion against him needs to be resolved. He told Nawaz that a no-confidence motion against him could have an impact on the results of the upcoming general elections. The government has shown keen concern to resolve a brewing crisis in the province after provincial lawmakers had submitted a no-confidence motion against Zehri last week, followed by resignations of six provincial cabinet members up till now.
