Sir: The Federal and Provincials Government’s are in the habit of spending billions of Rupees on advertisements in Newspapers and TV channels when development projects such as roads, hospitals and others are launched. Public money is used for such projects, but in advertisements campaigns the impression is given that these projects are personally built by the Prime Minister and Chiefs Ministers as their photos along with theirs party leaders photos are shown. Such cheap political tactics are not used in any developed country. Why is the money spent on such advertisements not used to improve healthcare facilities or the state of education? Under which article of the Constitution are politicians allowed to use the taxpayer’s money to build their own image? It is my request that the honourable Chief Justice of Pakistan take notice of this blatant exploitation of public funds and put a stop to it.
