GUJRANWALA: Citizens were deprived of cash, gold ornaments, vehicles and other valuables in separate robbery incidents on Saturday. In Emanabad police limits, three robbers intercepted their victim, Nabeel, and deprived him of Rs 50,000 and two cell phones. In Model Town,robbers snatched Rs32,000 and a cell phone.In Saddar, robbers took away Rs100,000in cash and two cell phones from Arsalan. In yet another incident, Arshad was deprived of Rs 40,000 and a cell phone on Jinnah Road, whereas in Alipur, Chatha dacoits looted Rs 82000, two gold chains, and two cell phones from Hakeem Arshad. In Cantt, robbers snatched Rs 75,000, gold ornaments and three cell phones from Waris and his family while in Garjakh, bandits looted Rs 40,000 and a cell phone from Rizwan. Robbers snatched Rs 25,000 and a cell phone from Zubair. In Ahmed Nagar, dacoits snatched Rs 47,000, three cell phones and a gold ring from Pervez, in Ferozewala four robbers intercepted Abdul Ghafoor and deprived him of Rs120,000, gold ornaments and three cell phones. In Saddar robbers snatched Rs 60,000, a gold ring and two cell phones from Ansar. Moreover, in Alipur Chatha Rs 97000, four cell phones and a gold chain were looted from Iqbal and Umer. From the houses of Farooq, Raza, and Sabir,valuables were stolen while Ashiq’s car and motorcycles of Sikandar, Zia, Talha, and Faisal were stolen from different places. Student beaten up: A teacher brutally tortured a student for not attending school. Reportedly, Jibran, aXgrade student of a private school on Jinnah Road, was absent fromschool on Friday.When he attended the school on Saturday, his teacher, Faisal,beat him up. Jibran’s parents rushed him to DHQ Hospital. Raids:FIA teams arrested two from Sialkot and Gujrat. The accused – Saqib and Javed Iqbal – were involved in facilitating illegal immigration via forged documents. Journalists’ colony: Assistant commissioner Rana Jamil visited the land proposed for establishing a journalists’ colony.
