LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is all set to hold a meeting with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri in Lahore on Thursday, according to opposition leader Khurshid Shah. The two parties have been in contact with each other earlier as well and the PPP party delegation is meeting with the PAT chief following the latter’s invitation to Zardari said Shah. “We stood against [former military dictator] Musharraf together in 2002,” he said. Khurshid Shah clarified that the PPP has always adhered from street politics and chaos. Leaders including Shah who would be attending the meeting include Dr Qayyum Soomro and Qamar Zaman Kaira. Earlier, Asif Ali Zardari had contacted PAT chief Tahirul Qadri and discussed the recently released Justice Baqir Najfi report on the Model Town incident that occured back in 2014, the two leaders agreed on holding whoever was responsible for the incident accountable.
