KARACHI: “I have tried to show my emotions which i feel and as i feel through my poetry,” said Syeda Azwa during launching ceremony of her first poetry book. Azwa’s first Poetry book ‘Innocent Thoughts: In the shape of Poetry’ launching ceremony was held at Hotel Beach Luxury Karachi recently. Syeda Azwa Asif is 12 years old girl from Karachi. She is studying in class 7 in the Mama Parsi Girls’ Secondary School Karachi. She has started poetry writing when she was only eight years old. During launching Senior Journalists and writer Mehmood Sham said that her poetry made me remember my poetry and I cant help reading that which inspires me a lot reading her poem “Proud to be a girl” he said that this poem shows the characteristics of a girl another poem “I’m crying” is wonderful piece in which she explains that how strength is this a 12 years girl knows why i’m crying in this age children only cry for toys and she is crying for uncivilized society and their future. Sham also welcomed her in the literally family and felt confident that after him there are people like Azwa to make alive the poetry and literature. Headmistress, Mama Parsi Secondary School for girls, Mrs. Parveen Rabadi shared her experience as a her teacher that she is the proud of Mama Parsi school adding this she said that she is the youngest English poetess of Pakistan whose book is published. Number of renowned and award winning English poets from America, Australia, UK has been reviewed her book and give wonderful commendation note for her poetry. Translation of this book has been done in Arabic and Pashto language. Her name has also been finalized for award by Pakistan Book of Record as a youngest poetess of Pakistan. Ms. Nadra Panjwani Social activist appreciated her poetry as well as her social work as she gives time to footpath school and goes there to teach students, she is the role model for her age group. Mr. Asif Ilyas host program Bacho ki Duniya Radio Pakistan FM-93 told that “I am the one who took her first time in my program and told the Pakistan that we have such talent,” adding this he said that i know her since three years and she has been tremendous towards her attitude. President Footpath School, Syeda Anfas Ali Shah Zaidi said that when she came to me for teaching children i thought she will not stay here for along but it has been three years that she is with us adding this she said beside her love of literature she also loves to work as social activist and has received many certificates of recognition. She solemnly loves to work with special needs people and street children, and it’s a rare virtuous quality. Dr.Suleman Educationist said that she is the regular writer for the Students Digests and she has been appreciated for her writing. Her father Dr.Syed Asif Ali told that her first poem life was published in an International magazine and her poems have been published in national and international forums.
