LAHORE: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has announced to observe “Panama Week” in Punjab. The party has also decided to hold a party meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan against the Punjab government over power outages on May 4, said Pakistan People’s Party central Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira during a press conference here at the party office after holding party meeting of provincial and local office-bearers. He said that party leaders would visit different divisions of the province to observe the week. Kaira said that the PPP would protest against power outages at the same venue where Punjab Chief Minister had held a protest camp against the previous PPP government. Lashing out at the chief minister, he said that he (CM) had failed to fulfil his promise to end load shedding in the province. Kaira said that all opposition parties had demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation, “as no free and fair investigation could be held by the joint investigation team (JIT) constituted by Supreme Court in Panama case till his resignation”.
