LAHORE: The accountability court on Monday adjourned the hearing of corruption references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against members of Sharif family. The court is waiting for the Islamabad High Court’s decision in connection with a petition filed by ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif, which seeks the consolidation of the references. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter, Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) reached the court to attend the hearing. As the Judge Mohammad Bashir resumed the hearing of three cases regarding Al-Azizia Steel Mills, Avenfield properties and Flagship Investments, Nawaz’ counsel Khawaja Harris requested the court to adjourn the hearing for short time as the Islamabad High Court (IHC) was set to announce the verdict in a plea regarding clubbing the references at around 12:30m today. The court accepted the plea and adjourned the hearing till 1pm. After the court adjourned the case, former premier, his daughter and son-in-law went back from the court.
