GUJRANWALA: A number of citizens were deprived of cash, gold ornaments, mobile phones and other valuables in about 30 hits in Gujranwala, on Saturday. In Khiali, armed men entered the house of Aslam and took away Rs 30,000, gold ornaments and mobile phones. In Kamoki, bandits snatched Rs 33,000, a mobile phone, and a gold locket from Haroon. In Qila Didar Singh, robbers looted Rs 110,000, gold ornaments and mobile phones from Fayyaz. In Model Town, Zahid was deprived of Rs 37,000, a gold ring and mobile phones at gun point. In Nandi Pur area, dacoits took away Rs 70,000, two mobile phones and a gold locket from Aneel. In Ali Pur Chatha, bandits snatched Rs 100,000 and two mobile phones from Zulifqar. In Ahmad Nagar, robber took away Rs 80,000, a mobile phone and gold ornaments from a woman. In Saddar, robbers looted Rs 72,000 and mobile phones from Javed Iqbal. In Cantt area, Ansar was deprived of Rs 30,000 and a mobile phone. In Baghbanpura area, armed men took away 43,000, gold ornaments and mobile phones from Ilyas. In Kamoke, armed men intercepted Iftikhar and looted Rs 150,000, gold ornaments and mobile phones. In People’s Colony area, bandits snatched Rs 25,000, two mobile phones and gold ornaments from Iqbal. In Wahndo, dacoits took away Rs 50,000 a gold locket set and mobile phones from Asif. In Tatlay Aali, robbers looted Rs 52,000 and a mobile phone from Maqsood. In Qila Didar Singh, armed men snatched Rs 32,000 and mobile phones from Yasir. In Ladhewala, Tariq was deprived of Rs 20,000 and a mobile phone at gun point. In Saddar area, bandits looted Rs 40,000, gold ornaments and mobile phone from Abdullah. In Ali Pur Chatha, Naveed was deprived of Rs 30,000 and a mobile phone. In Gakhar, bandits snatched Rs 23,000 and mobile phone from Nadeem. In Nowshera Virkan, dacoits took away Rs 70,000, mobile phone and gold ornaments from Kamal. In Ferozwala, robbers intercepted Wasi and looted Rs 50,000 two mobile phones. In theft incidents, unidentified thieves took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from the houses of Sakhat Ali, Billa, Abu Turab, Allah Ditta and Zaryab while a motorcycle of Saleem was stolen from Satellite Town area. In other news, Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated in Gujranwala with religious enthusiasm. The main procession was taken out from Sheranwala Bagh under the leadership of Pir Muhammad Daud Rizvi at 9.00 AM which culminated at Milak Chowk. Most of the city’s streets were decorated with colorful flags and lights and foolproof security arrangements were made by police and district administration.
