LAHORE: Tehreek Sirat-e-Mustaqeem chief Asif Ashraf Jalali has called off 7-day sit-ins from Lahore’s Mall Road after signing an agreement with Punjab government. A delegation of the Punjab government including Saad Rafique, Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan and Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman met the religious leaders on Saturday. According to the agreement, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah will relinquish his ministry till December 3. A committee has also been formed to discuss the matter. Similarly, the government will publish the report of Raja Zafarul Haq by December 20. It was also decided that the names of those behind the amendment to the Elections Act will also be made public. The sit-ins started across the country following the botched operation against Faizabad protesters. Jalali said if the government failed to fulfil their demands they will take to streets again.
