LAHORE: An officer of Pakistan Army was martyred in a gun battle with militants during a search operation in Kulachi area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district, a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday. The funeral prayer was held at Dera Ismail Khan, and was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and other high-ranking officials, including Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Nazir Butt. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also expressed his condolence over the martyrdom of Major Ishaq.
