ISLAMABAD: A total of 279 graduates of National University of Sciences and Technology received bachelors, master’s and PhD degrees at the combined convocation of School of Natural Sciences (SNS), Attaur Rahman School of Applied Bio-Sciences (ASAB) and School of Art, Design and Architecture (SADA) at NUST main campus on Tuesday. NUST Rector Lt Gen (r) Naweed Zaman was the chief guest and awarded degrees to the graduates in the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Architecture, Industrial Design, Healthcare Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, Plant Biotechnology and Applied Biosciences. In his address, the NUST rector extended his heartiest felicitations to the graduating students and their proud parents and faculty. He urged the graduates to ceaselessly explore new vistas of knowledge and innovation; transcend themselves as professionals; and, in so doing, inspire the world with their compassion. The rector also expressed his appreciation for NUST faculty, researchers and staff, whose unparalleled contribution helped NUST achieve a coveted position among the top 500 universities of the world. A few days earlier, the 10th Convocation of NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) was also held at the main campus. A total of 290 students received BS, BE, MS and PhD degrees in the fields of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Communication Security, Information Technology and Innovative Technologies in Education.
