LAHORE: Aamir Liaquat, the controversial televangelist often criticised for hate speech against religious minorities and progressive sections of the society, on Saturday announced ‘resignation’ from BOL network which soon turned into a Twitter fight. The journey has come to an end & not a friendly end. Now I am not part of #BOL. They owe me my dues. #KhudaHafizBOL — Aamir Liaquat Husain (@AamirLiaquat) November 18, 2017 Following Liaquat’s stunt whereby he announced to resign from his network for the second time, tweets with hashtag #KhudaHafizBol, literally good by BOL, started emerging apparently from the televangelist’s supporters. As he went on a retweeting spree of tweets in his favour, BOL showed up with a response and a counter hashtag #AllahHafizDrAamir which soon caught up and started trending on Twitter. In a tweet posted from network’s official handle, BOL said Aamir Liaquat did not fulfill his contractual obligations toward the network and claimed that the network wasn’t aware of anchorperson’s move until they saw it on Twitter. BOL & its management had received no prior notice or intimation regarding Dr. Aamir Liaquat’s resignation until now made through his Twitter a/c which is a thoroughly unprofessional practice. #AllahHafizDrAamir Read the official Press Release here: https://t.co/ZCfbJGQbrU — BOL NETWORK (@BOLNETWORK) November 18, 2017 That’s it. #KhudaHafizBOL pic.twitter.com/qEXrwmJ4eO — A girl has no name 🌸 (@HerHighness) November 18, 2017 Breaking News: Rating master Dr. Aamir Liaquat Husain left #Bol channel.#KhudaHafizBol Cc: @AamirLiaquat pic.twitter.com/2U8SyMiVab — ⚡️Farrukh⚡️ (@farrukhzx) November 18, 2017 #AllahHafizDrAamir yeah hain kartoot dramay baz pic.twitter.com/JuuKtNeG8Q — Haniya Saleem (@haniyasaleemi) November 18, 2017 How can anyone forget this #AllahHafizDrAamir pic.twitter.com/F21O4f3CSC — Farman (@farmansha) November 18, 2017 Very Unprofessional #AllahHafizDrAamir pic.twitter.com/5Xez4sbsU7 — Seagul Ahmed (@Ahmednaviwala11) November 18, 2017 amir liaquat to BOL your loss baby 😛#KhudaHafizBOL pic.twitter.com/Gd0i6XZmy6 — Irsa Ghazal Khan. Only in August, the controversial televangelist had made a similar announcement but ended up rejoining the network a few days after. He has previously been associated with multiple other outlets including GEO TV, ARY and Express. He is known for publicly dishing his former networks after quitting.
