SHIKARPUR: Facebook friendship became the cause of death for an eight year old boy Shah Muhammad Bhutto, a local, killed his girlfriend’s younger brother to thwart her family’s bid to marry her off to another man. According to police, an eight year minor boy, named Jawad Bhutto, resident of Pir Wasil Shah Mohalla, disappeared on the first of this month. Mujahid Bhutto, the father of Jawad Bhutto, lodged a complaint for his disappearance and sought help. After investigation police have arrested three youth including Shah Muhammad Bhutto, Sabir Bhutto and Ishfaque Bhutto over suspicion. During an investigation accused namely Shah Muhammad Bhutto confessed that he took the boy on his motorcycle and threw him into Indus River after strangling him to death, police maintained. A special police party headed by DSP city Abdul Hameed took the accused for rehearsal to Indus River Sukkur and recovered some identification form there, but body of the boy was not found from there because local divers informed the police that there was little chance to recover the body of a minor boy after passage of 10-days from Indus River. According to police, accused Shah Muhammad Bhutto, took such a ruthless step when the parents of his girl friend refused “his offer” for marrying and they were to go for organizing an engagement to his girl friend to another youth and that is when the accused took such a step to foil her engagement to another youth, police said. Arrested accused Shah Muhammad Bhutto confessed before police that he had fallen in love with ‘T’ Bhutto at Facebook. Lakhi gate police detained the girl namely ‘T’ Bhutto and moved her to the Women’s Complaint Cell Shikarpur for further investigation. Area police have registered an FIR against Shah Muhammad, Sabir Bhutto, Ashfaque Bhutto and two unidentified persons at Lakhi gate police station, on the complaint of Mujahid Bhutto.
