BAHAWALPUR: A free medical camp was organized by 31 Corps Bahawalpur at Government Degree College for Girls Khairpur Tamewali on Saturday. The aim was to offer free medical facilities and medicine to the poor and deprived population of the desert area. For this purpose, both male and female doctors, including gynaecologists, surgeons, general practitioners, child specialists and eye specialists, offered their services to the people of the college and the locals. About 2000 patients, including senior citizens, women and children, were given free medical facilities at the camp. Doctors said such medical camps are helpful for the people in remote areas who are deprived of basic health facilities and often have to travel to big cities to see a doctor.
