LAHORE: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Sunday that “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan and Awami Muslim League Head Sheikh Rasheed are endeavoring to derail the government but the PML-N government will complete its tenure in next eight months. While talking to media he lashed out, and criticized the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) after their political processions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh respectively. He added that “we don’t want any conflict in the country. He said it is the government’s success to solve two big problems of the country; load-shedding and terrorism.” He termed “Imran’s voice against corruption is political drama.” He claimed that “those who had defected Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and join the PTI are now returning,” adding that “the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are fed up of the government.” He also criticized the PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari and said that “when PPP was in power, corruption cases would emerge every two days.”
