LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Friday that terrorism in the region should not affect Pakistan and Afghanistan’s commitment to peace. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), following his visit to Afghanistan, COAS met Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr Omar Zakhilwal at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Friday, and condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan. Bajwa also said that although both countries have suffered a lot from terrorism in the region, they should not allow it to affect their commitments for peace in the region. Earlier on Friday, the Afghan Ambassador also met National Security Advisor Lt General (r) Nasser Khan Janjua to discuss the security issues of both countries.
