ISLAMABAD: Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Saeed Ahmed Al-Malkiy on Wednesday said Arabic can play an effective role to unite Muslim Ummah. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have strong bilateral relations and Saudi Arabia will further increase relations with Pakistan in every field, especially in the field of education, said Al-Malkiy. “Every effort will be taken to bring Muslim Ummah to one platform”, said Al-Malkiy while addressing the inaugural session of the two-day international conference on “Development of Arabic prose in the 2nd half of 20th century”. The ambassador was the chief guest at the conference, organized by the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Arabic Department. NUML Director General Brig Muhammad Ibrahim, Dean Languages Dr. Safeer Awan, registrar, directors, head of departments, national & international scholars and a large number of students attended the inaugural session. The Saudi ambassador said topic of the conference, development of Arabic prose, was a rich area for research and NUML must be appreciated for organizing the international conference on the said topic. He said people of both countries had strong cordial and spiritual relations with each other and his country would take every possible step to further enhance the relations between two countries.
