GUJRANWALA: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced matric results on Monday. Rida Amir of the Best School System and Mariam Imtiaz, student of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Higher Secondary School Mandeer bagged first position by securing 1085 marks each, Sarim Irhas Nasir of government comprehensive high school Gujrat stood second with 1083 marks while Aimon Humayun of Educators Bara Dari campus Gujrat and Aimen Saleem of the Best School System Gujranwala captured third position securing 1081 marks each. According to details, in science male group Sarim Irhas Nasir roll No 464917 got first position by securing 1083 marks and Umar Shifaqat grabbed second position with 1079 marks while Abdul Rehman Basra of government high school Daska captured third position with 1078 marks. In science female group Rida Amir and Mariam Imtiaz stood first securing 1085 marks, Aiman Hamayun, Aimen Saleem and Ayesha Mustafa captured second position with 1081 marks each, and Laiba Amjad and Hafiza Eesha Tanvir grabbed third position with 1080 marks, in arts group boys Muhammad Nadem Fayaz of government high school Daska stood first with 1051 marks, Sufyan Shahid captured second by obtaining 1039 marks and Ehtisham Asghar grabbed third with 1038 marks. In Arts group girls Sadia Arooj secured 1062 marks and stood as first, Ume Habiba captured second position with 1052 marks and Humna Riaz grabbed third position secring 1047 marks. Hospital sealed: Assistant commissioner Wazirabad Noorul Ain Qureshi has sealed a private hospital and registered a case against the doctor for running the hospital without a NOC. It was reported that this hospital was not duly registered under the healthcare commission act while Dr Ali Murtaza was found practicing there while he was not a registered medical practitioner as MPDC has not issued any registration number to him. Assistant commissioner has sealed the hospital while a case has been registered against the doctor. Human traffickers: FIA teams in result of different raids have arrested four human traffickers on Monday. It was stated that SI Mohsin Waheed conducted a raid at Gondlanwala Road and arrested accused Muhammad Owais and recovered five passports and other documents from him. Accused Owais has extorted Rs 570,000/- from the various citizens for providing them illegal immigration to Italy. While SI Javed Iqbal Ghumman along with team conducted raids and arrested accused Abdul Waheed from Allah Bukhsh Colony, Naeem Zulfiqar from Gourmet Bakers and recovered Pakistani passports while accused Asif was arrested from Sialkot. Voter awareness: Election commission arranged a Voters Awareness walk on Monday, which was led by assistant education officers Muhammad Jamil and Sheikh Saeed while personalities of civil society participated in large number. The participants were informed that there are a total 2,832 blocks in the district while in 478 blocks the percentage of registered women voters is less than 40 percent. Speakers said that there is great need to create an awareness for women to register of their votes. Representative of NGOs Quratul Ain and Farah Batool said that district voters education committee is performing best for the purpose and they would launched a door to door campaign for the awareness of women voters. Program officer of Sangat Foundation Khuram Shahzad told that about 355,000 women are still deprived of their NICs due to which they were unable to got register as voters.
