GUJRANWALA: Dacoits and thieves were on the rampage as citizens were deprived of cash, gold ornaments, vehicles and other valuables in 24 hits on Sunday. In Nowshera Virkan police limits armed men looted Rs 40,000 and two cell phones from Sadiq, in Baghbanpura police station limit bandits snatched Rs 27,000, gold ornaments and a cell phone from a woman, in Ghakkar Mandi robbers snatched Rs 25,000, three cell phones and gold ornaments from Naeem, in Model Town area Sikandar was deprived of Rs 40,000 and two cell phones on gun point, at Sohdra armed men took away Rs 65,000, two cell phones and gold ornaments from Riaz, on College Road dacoits looted Rs 20,000, cell phone from Saghir Ahmed, in Cantt bandits snatched Rs 35,000 and cell phone from Jamshed, in Sadar Kamonke Zafar Cheema was deprived of Rs 60,000 and two cell phones, in Tatlewali armed men snatched Rs 25,000 and two cell phones from Shafqat, on Sui Gas Road Baber was deprived of Rs 27,000, three cell phones and gold ornaments at gunpoint, three robbers entered in the shop of Ramzan in Khiali area and looted Rs 15,000 and valuables, in Qilla Didar Singh dacoits took away Rs 70,000, gold ornaments and cell phones from Waqas, at Ladhewala robbers looted Rs 12,000, motorcycle and cell phone from Muzammil, in Qilla Didar Singh bandits snatched Rs 40,000, gold ornaments and cell phones from Ashir Butt, in theft incidents thieves took away cash, gold ornaments, laptops and other valuables from the houses of Naeemur Rehman, Azmat, Rizwan, Shahinshah, Ilyas and Nawaz, while car of Fayyaz and motorcycles of Hasnain and Zubair were stolen from different places. Busted: The CIA claimed to have busted a gang and recovered cash, cell phones and illegal arms. CIA DSP Imran Abbas Chadhar told reporters that Kala dacoit gang was involved in dozens of robbery and theft incident while police using modern techniques traced out the gang and arrested its three members including Asif, Shaoib and Sadam while police recovered Rs 200,000, cell phones and illegal arms from them.
