LARKANA: Mohenjo Daro, a declared World Heritage site has not been provided with clean water facility for the last 50 years. Due to underground brackish water, around 200 employees were compelled to get clean drinking water from 2 kilometers away from the site. The installed two motor-operated water coolers at the site have become oxidized due to heavy water for long and no one in the concerned government departments has bothered to get them repaired for supply of unsoiled water. Worst affected are international and home tourists as they buy bottled water for consumption during their research work and site visit. Visiting families are also with no exception. It is amazing that no plan by the Sindh government has so far come to light for the installation of a reverse osmosis plant at the site. The employees demanded the Sindh government be responsible and take notice of the situation and provide all required basic facilities at the ancient ruins site.
