GUJRANWALA: Anti-corruption Director Ilyas Gill ordered to register cases against five government officials for corruption and misuse of power. It was stated that there were applications filed against police Sub inspector Malik Maqsood, Patwari Nisar Ahmed, Patwari Raja Rizwan Ali, Nikah registrar Javed Iqbal, and Teacher Irfan Ahmed. After investigations allegations levelled against them were proved and in the light of enquiry reports director anti-corruption issued ordered cases registered against them. Separately, Deputy Commissioner Amir Jaan has given the approval of 1,533 welfare cases of government officials. Presiding over a welfare fund board meeting he said that Rs 80.2 million will be spent on 40 monthly financial assistance cases, Rs 4.3 million will be spent on 1019 scholarships cases, Rs 5.1 million for 334 marriage grant cases while Rs 800,000 will be spent for burial grant cases during the year. He directed all the heads of departments to prepare the cases of their employees and put them before the welfare board for an early action in this regard. Meanwhile, FIA teams in result of different raids have arrested four land rout agents and recovered Pakistani Passports and national and international currency. It was told that accused land rout agent Zubair Ahmed was arrested from Kharian, land rout agent Muhammad Shahid Iltaf from Gujrat, accused Ansar Iqbal from Mandi Bahauddin while SI Mohsin arrested the accused Aftab from Sialkot and three Pakistani passports recovered from him. Separately, a three-member Turkish medical delegation visited the DHQ Hospital and inspected the medical facilities, machinery and medicines being provided to the patients. The delegation was consisted upon Dr. Organ, Dr Naimat and Dr Fateh, they also have a meeting with the hospital administration and discussed about the registration of hospital with Turk health consultant. It was told that Turkish delegation while discussion pointed that there were shortage of beds in DHQ hospital and seeing the number of patients more beds should be placed in the hospital, they however appreciated the arrangements and facilities at trauma center.
