LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Friday termed Nawaz Sharif’s decision not to accept the Supreme Court verdict in the Panama case dangerous for the democratic process. Talking to reporters at his residence at Bilawal House in Bahria Town, Zardari said that Nawaz Sharif should accept the verdict. “It is better for Sharifs to conform to the apex court decision. He himself had supported the removal of former PM Yousuf Raza Gillani,” he said. He reiterating his stance against being part of the grand national dialogue suggested by Nawaz Sharif. “The parliament is the only place for holding this dialogue,” he said. “We stand with the democratic and political forces. Unfortunately, Nawaz Sharif thinks that the democratic process will stop if he is not part of it,” he said. Zardari said that once he wanted to meet Nawaz Sharif to condole the death of his brother Abbas Sharif. Published in Daily Times, August 19th 2017.
