Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation visited the Terracotta Warriors Museum in the Xi’an region of China on Saturday. During the visit, the prime minister and his delegation were apprised of the preservation and restoration of historical heritage and the promotion of tourism. He visited several parts of the museum, and appreciated the beauty of the ancient Chinese historical heritage and craftsmanship. In his remarks, Shehbaz said great nations like China protected their historical heritage. He said that the protection and restoration of historical heritage by the Chinese government were worthy of emulation. Shehbaz Sharif said that China has achieved success in every sector through its hard work. He expressed his gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping for his gracious invitation to visit the museum. Shehbaz asserted that Pakistan possessed a rich historical and cultural heritage, and expressed his commitment to restoring the historical landmarks of the country and transforming them into tourist attractions. Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Ataullah Tarar, Dr Musadik Malik, Sardar Awais Khan Leghari, Rana Tanveer also accompanied the prime minister during the visit. On Friday, Chinese President Xi Jinping praised the longstanding friendship between China and Pakistan as ideal during a meeting with Prime Minister Sharif in Beijing. The meeting, deemed crucial, took place at the historic Great Hall of the People, where both leaders discussed various matters of mutual interest. Expressing gratitude for the warm reception during his visit, PM Sharif highlighted the significance of Pakistan’s relationship with China. President Xi echoed the sentiment, emphasizing that the strategic ties between the two countries continue to strengthen over time. The leaders agreed on the enhancement of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and ensuring the timely completion of major development projects. They also delved into regional and international affairs, including discussions on Afghanistan, Palestine, and the Kashmir issue.
