KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Tuesday expressed it anger over non-appearance of an investigation officer in a case relating to illegal allotment case of government land against former Secretary Land, MD KWSB and others. A division bench of SHC headed by Chief Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh was hearing bail applications of the accused in a NAB reference filed against former MD KWSB Hashim Raza Zaidi and others for alleged illegal allotments of land. The court expressed it anger over non-appearance of IOs of the case in the court. The Chief Justice remarked that investigation officers of the anti-graft body by delaying investigation were actually helping out the accused. The court summoned the IO of the case for September 26th , along with the record of the case. The court while extending the interim bail granted to the accused including Tappedar Mir Barkat Talpur, Nazir Ahmed and others adjourned further hearing till September 26th . The court also directed NAB to present copy of reference against the accused in the court on next date of hearing. Published in Daily Times, August 30th 2017.
