SHIKARPUR: A deadly dispute claimed the precious life of a villager and left another injured over an old ongoing enmity between two clans of Kalhora and Mangneja, when a few unidentified armed assailants attacked the village “Ayeja” in Katcha area of Madeji Town. According to SHO Talib Chandio, a few unidentified armed assailants attacked the village Ayeja and sprayed bullets on Kaleemullah, aged around 20, son of Khan Muhammad and a Mangnejo by caste. Resultantly, Kaleemullah Mangnejo breathed his last on the spot while his guest named Mithal Shah, son of Miskeen Shah and a resident of the same village, sustained bullet wounds. The assailants fled the crime scene, the SHO elaborated. Area police reached the spot and transported the body and the injured to Madeji Tehsil Hospital. The body of the deceased was handed over to his heirs after completing the medico-legal formalities, whereas the injured was admitted to the hospital, the SHO said. The motive behind the incident is said to be an old enmity between two groups of Kalhora and Mangneja communities that developed over a trivial issue in 2010 and claimed 13 precious lives of innocent villagers and left dozens injured on both sides, the SHO maintained.
