LAHORE: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday said that Nawaz Sharif should not appear before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court. She also called that process of accountability a way to personally and politically victimize Nawaz Sharif. Maryam Nawaz, who led the election campaign of her mother in NA-120 by-poll, said that certain elements are trying to target Nawaz Sharif personally and politically. “In the garb of accountability, Nawaz Sharif is being politically and personally victimized,” Maryam said. She called the accountability procedure a farce. She said that the whole family presented itself before the Panama Joint Investigation Team (JIT) although it had several reservations over the formation of JIT. She emphasized that Nawaz should not and must not appear before the accountability court. Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Kulsoom Nawaz won the NA-120 by-election. While addressing the party workers after a historic victory, Maryam delivered an explosive speech. She said that people of NA-120 have defeated those who can see and also those who cannot be seen
