A five-day polio campaign was started in Sheikhupura district under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura Dr. Waqar Ali and CO Health Sheikhupura. Under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Muridke Shaukat Sindhu and DDHO Dr. Ayad Akhtar Chauhan, polio camps have been set up at six different places on GT Road in which 134,981 children will be administered polio drops during five days. While talking to the media, Assistant Commissioner Shaukat Sindhu and Dr. Ayad Akhtar said that 32 UCs have been built across the tehsil, in which 527 team members are working to administer drops to children. He noted that 1147 health visitors and vaccinators are working all over the Tehsil and are going from door to door, giving drops to the children. They will make Tehsil Muridke polio-free very soon. Children are the future of the country; we are determined to make Pakistan polio-free so that the government can develop.
